The history of Tuscan is documented as far back as 1775 by the Plant family. At that time, the family was renown for their jugs and white glaze baskets marked 1780.
Tableware by R.H. Plant began production in 1878, in Staffordshire, England. The name “Tuscan” was branded in this period and Tuscan produced thousands of gorgeous Bone China pieces for tables and cabinets. They are particularly known for their pink bone china and highly decorative floral chintz and gold patterns. In 1967 the company was taken over by Wedgwood and renamed ‘Royal Tuscan”.
