Summary

Antique 19th century / Porcelain, Gold Brush / HT: 6 Inch; WD: 11 1/2 Inch; DP: 8 1/2 Inch

Description;

Rare antique Victorian period English porcelain cheese dish with cover. Produced by Keeling & Co “Late Mayers” some time between 1886 to 1891. This is a rare and beautiful piece for one to treasure! Hand painted daisy flowers with gold brushed edges. Crimped rims with nice gold finish. Handle, large and curved with texture and detail. Very large and beautiful.

This piece is approximately 134 years old! Over it’s long life one can see it’s been handled with great care ❤️

An antique piece in beautiful condition! Because it comes from a previous life it’s not brand new or perfect and I will always try to point out any obvious flaws. I can see a very small nick along the rim of the tray which is pointed out in my pictures. It’s on the underside, so cannot be seen unless turned over. The dish has a few scratches in the middle, in a circular pattern. The lid handle has a spot of wear, some of the gold and yellow paint has disappeared revealing the porcelain. Nothing at all for concern. Light crazing. Adds more character and patina! Only age relegated wear to be expected
